|Weekly Action Alert from Indivisible AVL TAKE ACTION #1 – KEEP FIGHTING THE WALL!The latest is that after trading offers and counteroffers for several days, negotiations in Congress have essentially stalled. But given the immense pressure negotiators are under to avert a shutdown, it is still expected that the conference committee will reach a deal before Friday the 15th – or perhaps agree to another stopgap spending bill. It’s hard to say what might be included in a final deal. Indivisible National recommends that you call your Members of Congress (MoC’s) and tell them No Beds, No Boots, No Wall!|
Call Sen. Thom Tillis – (202) 224-6342
Call Sen. Richard Burr – (202) 224-3154
Call Representative Mark Meadows (District 11) – (202) 225-6401
Call Representative Patrick McHenry (District 10) – (202) 225-2576TAKE ACTION #2 – CALL SENATOR THOM TILLIS: NO DRILLING ANYWHERE!U.S. Senator Thom Tillis is one of the lone NC Legislators who won’t stand in defense of the coast. He has aligned himself with Trump and his oil industry cronies in expanding offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, the Arctic, and the Pacific coast, while allowing for leasing along the Atlantic seaboard for the first time. With climate chaos already wreaking havoc on our shoreline, and wildlife and fish die-off still present from past spills, enough is enough!
Call Senator Tillis today and tell him no more oil drilling anywhere!
