As wonderful as this unity is, it highlights something not so wonderful: the increasing economic inequality we all deal with as proud North Carolinians.
Addressing economic inequality through legislation is a central goal of the North Carolina Senate Democratic Caucus. In a time of great anxiety, stress shouldn’t be compounded by worries about sick leave and healthcare access and food insecurity.
We have the resources in this great state to deal with these and other economic issues. We, the caucus, are committed to doing so. For you, and for all of us.
When we emerge from this pandemic — and we WILL emerge from it, stronger and smarter — we will be here, ready to fight for you and for all North Carolinians.
