On Friday the State Board of Elections approved 49 additional student and employee IDs for use in 2020 elections. See all approved IDs here. See Press release here. (More on this at the 2020 Kickoff Tuesday night)
On Tuesday state legislators passed bipartisan Senate Bill 683, which: (a) restored the mandatory last Saturday of Early Voting, (b) shifted mandatory weekday Early Voting options to the more voter-friendly timeframe of 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and (c) reinstated a 17-day voting period that once again begins on a Thursday and ends on a Saturday. While not perfect, the passage of S683 is a step in the right direction.
