|Buncombe Democrats Welcome Postcards The Postcard Welcome program is underway. Postcards have been printed and distributed to cluster leaders along with lists of names and addresses of precinct members who have registered as Democrats since October 2018. In total, there are 3,300 newly registered Democrats in Buncombe County. Precincts and clusters will gather for Postcard Parties or write postcards at upcoming events. Be on the lookout for emails or calendar notices about postcard-related events in the coming weeks. Volunteers will address the postcards and help the newly-registered Democratic voters connect with precinct leadership and with future events as well as welcoming them to the area. The voter outreach program is planned to target newly registered unaffiliated voters in the coming year through phone banking and canvassing around the county. To help with this important Postcard Welcome program, visit buncombedems.org/volunteer and check “Writing Postcards”. If you would like to assist in getting our postcards in the mail, click hereto donate the cost of 100 postcard stamps. Contacting newly registered Democrats and welcoming them into our community is a critical part of our voter outreach leading to primary and election day. Early voting in Weaverville, Woodfin, and Woodfin Water and Sewer districts began on October 16. For early voting schedule and locations, click EARLY VOTING. Election day is November 5.
