Dick, sign on now if you agree: No woman should be denied access to health care like birth control →I AGREE WITH REP. PRAMILA JAYAPAL →Dick, the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate meant insurance MUST cover it — but employers affiliated with a religion are exempt.
Republicans have used this exemption as a loophole to try to chip away at access to birth control.
So Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Pramila Jayapal is speaking out:“No woman should be denied access to contraceptive care because of her employers’ religious beliefs… denying women access to care not only puts their lives at risk, but their economic well-being as well.”
– Rep. Pramila Jayapal
I AGREE →Dick, access to birth control is a key piece to full reproductive health care. But it’s so much bigger than that.
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal knows access to birth control is tied to economic justice for women and families.
We know Republicans’ attacks on access to birth control on abortion the grounds of religion aren’t really about religious freedom.
It’s REALLY about regulating women’s bodies for their own political gain.
Our Progressive Caucus members will never stop fighting for reproductive rights and economic justice, so we need to show we’re with them.
