Weekly Action Alert from Indivisible AVL
MAKE THIS CALL
Tell your Senator to vote no on the deceivingly-titled “Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155).”
This bill puts us at risk of another economic crisis, it allows racial discrimination in mortgage lending to go unchecked, and erodes consumer protections. Check out Indivisible’s resource guide and call script.
Not sure who your representatives are or how to contact them? Check out GovTrack.
JOIN THIS EVENT
On March 16 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, come help make posters/postcards/and other materials needed for the student-organized March for Our Lives event coming up on 3/24/18. Student speakers will be there to speak about the march, and the local band playing afterward, Cuddle in the Cosmos, will donate a portion of their proceeds to the cause.
MAKE THIS COMMITMENT
Sign up to join the phone banking effort for what Swing Left is calling “an epic special election fight in PA-18.” Commit to call voters in this district between now and the special election on Tuesday and remind them to vote for Democrat Conor Lamb. According to Swing Left, Lamb has a narrow lead in the polls, and could pull off a major upset (Trump won the district by 20 points). Help make it happen!
