It’s the biggest Congressional hearing to date. All of the funding and policies for Medicare for All will ultimately be decided by this committee.
Here’s the catch: the only way we can have a floor vote on H.R. 1384 is if this committee signs off on it. And while half the Democrats on the committee have already cosponsored the bill, there’s still 13 of them who’ve refused to support Medicare for All. Turning up the heat on them and making our demands loud and clear could make all the difference.
This is no time for half-measures or watered-down proposals. More than 70 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured, and we can’t let Congress maintain a status quo when so many lives are on the line.
