This month things are getting quite busy over here at DFA. I’ll be traveling to a few places over the next few weeks so my cell or email will be best in case you need to reach me.
First, I will be in Ohio for the Presidential debates, then off to Maine to support our endorsed candidate Betsy Sweet who is challenging Susan Collins in a critical Senate race, and then to Washington DC for the Congressional Progressive Caucus summit and another appearance on This Week with George Stephanopolous. I’ll also be on the ground in Texas, San Francisco, and Pennsylvania, to give our candidates the support they deserve and to make sure they win. With only four weeks until election day, our entire team is making sure we build solid organizing plans to ensure our progressive champions all over the country win their elections.
While all of this is happening, I will also be keeping a close watch on the impeachment hearings. Now that a second whistleblower has come forward, things are getting more intense. The evidence is piling up yet, nearly all Republicans have remained silent.
We are now at a critical tipping point. Our movement to impeach Trump is stronger than ever — but we must continue the momentum and keep the pressure on Congress to move forward with impeachment. DFA’s voice, and the voice of our members has been key to this process so far, and will continue to be important through its resolution.
I wanted to share a few media hits we had this past week where I had the opportunity to represent DFA’s perspective on the impeachment hearings. Last Wednesday, I appeared on NPR’s Here and Now and on Sunday, ABC’s This Week. If you are interested, I’ve included both links to the appearances below:
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out.
